What if another Enneagram resource says something different than you do?
The Enneagram has some basic tenets that apply in virtually all material, and other areas where authors, researchers, and creators have made their own interpretations. One common example is the names of the subtypes, where many people have their own formulations (e.g., the 2w1 is sometimes called The Servant, but we renamed it The Altruist in our materials).
Tell us if you find a difference between something we said and something you’ve read elsewhere. Some differences may be intentional, but we will fix any that we believe are incorrect. Also note that we apply more credibility to certain sources than to others (e.g., books by renowned Enneagram scholars carry more weight than Instagram memes).
