What are the most common romantic pairings for Enneagram type 6s?

Female 6s most often marrying 3s, 8s, 7s, and 9s, and Male 6s most often marrying 2s, 9s, 3s, and 1s (in that order).

Certain type 6 pairings are more common than others, though any type combination can occur and thrive. The marriage data we compiled and analyzed was broken down by gender, with Female 6s most often marrying 3s, 8s, 7s, and 9s, and Male 6s most often marrying 2s, 9s, 3s, and 1s (in that order).

When we remove gender as a variable, 6s overall most often marry 3s, 9s, and 1s, and least often marry 5s, 4s, and 6s. All type combinations bring shared and unique elements to the relationship!

Most common:

6s and 3s share practicality, playfulness, adaptability. 6s bring compassion, thoroughness,, realism. 3s bring confidence, efficiency, optimism. 6s and 9s share adaptability, reassurance, reliability. 6s bring sentimentality, vitality, realism, 9s bring stability, calm, positivity. 6s and 1s share wit, conscientiousness, values. 6s bring analysis, sentimentality, intimacy. 1s bring decisiveness, action, idealism.

Average:
